Well, it's 5 AM here in Beijing, and in 40 minutes we leave for the airport, and our flight to Harbin will leave sometime between 7 AM and 9 AM (we don't know our in country flight details yet, but our guide, Sherry, told us as a group last night that this was the flight window for everyone).
Three years. Thousands of miles. Thousands of dollars. Hundreds of pieces of paper. Megajoules of emotional energy. It all leads to today.
Today is the day we get Sophie!
I'm already crying as I type that...
We aren't sure exactly when we get her today, it all depends on the policies and procedures for her province, but we can say with relative certainty that we'll have her in our arms, hugging her tight, giving her all of the love she needs, in less than 12 hours.
I will be capturing the first moments with Sophie on video (and of course, tons of moments for the next 25+ years) - thought I've seen it a million times in my head already.
I'd better get going, and since it's still Sunday back in Minneapolis, Happy Birthday, Allison!

YEAH! Brad and I are so excited for you guys!! He says he is "Sooper Dooper Happy" ha! We can not wait to see pictures of you guys and your new DAUGHTER!
This type of "labor & receiving" is grueling! Cal is so excited to see a picture of you two with Sophie that he is driving everyone here CRAZY! I can't tell you how many times he's asked, "Do you think they have her yet?" Can't wait to see that first picture! Love you! Julie
Such a process to get to this day...and now it is here!! Nick and I are overflowing with joy for you both, and for Sophie too, she is one lucky little girl to have your hearts and your arms to hold her from here on out! WOW.

Today is your "delivery" date :) We are both so very excited and happy for you both! We can not wait to see pictures of you with your daughter!!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family (those Zielger's and their kid :) We love you.
WOW! We have said a million prayers that this day would finally come and here it is. Not only will you be blessed today but Sophie will as well metting her new Daddy and Mommy for the first time!! We can't wait to see the first family photo!! God bless all of you!!
Larry & Stacy - We are so happy for you guys!!! By this time you’re already a new mommy and daddy... it gives me goose bumps to think about how much you guys have gone through. You two are truly incredible people to give a child with no hope in her country and bring her to America where her possibilities are endless! I know you will cherish every single moment with your new daughter and give her all the love in the world! I’m very excited to see the pictures and video, which Larry your mother is probably still pacing through the house waiting to see those.
